Privacy Policy — Challan app

No account, no servers

The app has no sign-up or login and has no server of ours to send data to. The only time it talks to the internet is when you buy or restore Challan Pro, which is handled by Google Play or the App Store (see “Buying Challan Pro” below). We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any of the information you enter, and the app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

What is stored on your phone

To work, the app keeps the following in its private storage on your phone:

• Your company details (name, GSTIN, mobile, email, address) and logo, if you add one.
• Parties, items, opening stock and stock changes.
• Challans, income and expense entries.
• Your signature or stamp image, if you add one.
• App settings such as language, challan numbering, PDF design and colour, the app-lock choice, and whether Challan Pro is unlocked.

Phone backups

The app keeps its data out of phone backups (Google backup on Android, iCloud or computer backups on iPhone) and out of phone-to-phone transfer. So uninstalling the app, resetting the phone or moving to a new phone means the data is gone. The only way to keep a copy is to export a backup file from More in the app and save it somewhere safe; you can import that file again later. Export and import are part of Challan Pro; without Pro the data exists only on that phone.

Buying Challan Pro

Challan Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone, under Google’s or Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. We never see your card, UPI or bank details.

The app asks the store only whether your Google or Apple account owns Challan Pro, so it can unlock Pro features and restore them after a reinstall or on a new phone. None of your business data is sent with this. Google or Apple may share purchase reports with us (such as the order ID, date, price and country) as they do for every app seller.

When data leaves the app

Data leaves the app only when you choose to send it:

• Sharing a challan or party statement PDF through WhatsApp or another app you pick.
• Sending a payment reminder message through WhatsApp.
• Exporting an Excel or CSV backup (Challan Pro) and saving or sending it somewhere.
• Opening a rojmed.com link (such as this policy), which opens in your browser.

Other apps you share with

After you share, the app or service you used (for example WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Drive or your browser) handles the data under its own privacy policy.

Permissions

• Fingerprint / Face ID (optional app lock): the check is done by your phone. The app only learns whether it passed and never receives your fingerprint or face data.
• Photos (optional company logo, signature or stamp): the phone’s photo picker gives the app only the image you choose.
• In-app purchases (billing): used only to buy and restore Challan Pro through Google Play or the App Store.
• Files: when you import, the app reads only the file you pick.

Keeping your data safe

Your data is as safe as your phone. Use a screen lock, and turn on the app lock in More if other people use your phone. With Challan Pro, export a backup regularly, because we cannot recover data lost from your phone.

Deleting your data

You can delete challans, parties, items, income and expenses one by one, or erase everything at once with More → Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also deletes all its data. Because the app is not included in phone backups, deleted data cannot come back, even after reinstalling. Backup files you exported yourself are not touched; delete them separately if you no longer need them.

Children

The app is a business tool and is not directed at children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated policy.
